Day 8 - San Carlos

Without much ado, I promptly strolled over to the Internet Cafe I found the day before. I spent almost 5 hours downloading and installing music, translation software, updating the blog with photos and content, and meeting people.
I also happened to bump into a guy from Germany at the same cafe, and he happened to notice my BMW cap lying on the table next to him. We probably wouldn't have said a word to each other otherwise, as Pablo didn't notice my bike parked outside and I didn't even take notice of the person sitting next to me until he asked me whether I ride BMW motorcycles!
We promptly forgot about the Internet and started talking. At first, I thought that he was just a guy that rides a BMW back home, and wants to make small talk, however, as we continued it became apparent that he was riding with his wife on the back of an R1150GS along exactly the same route as I was interested in taking!
After 2 hours of talking about trips we've done, motorcycles and alot of Google Earthing, we decided that we'd spend new years together... with the consent of Margarita his wife of course, however they didn't have any firm plans, like me anyway.
So we met up at around 8pm in town and spent the night bar hopping, partying and drinking with the locals, and alot of American tourists too! We didn't have the BIGGEST of nights because we wanted to leave the next day to drive to Alamos, on our way to see the Copper Canyon. Barranca Del Cobra.
All in all, a great day! Some new friends and riding companions... for a while and I also got all my tech stuff sorted with the excellent computers and Internet access I had.
